HI Guys
D A EH HARRISON furloughed all of the labors today that fuel,sand and clean the cabs
and put water in the engines and clean up oil spills
With no labors they will try and make the electricians and machinist due the work
Also supposed to be a furlough at the carshop
Hope these guys get their jobs back

yes furloughed there also today, only 20 carmen left at the willard car shop, takes 20 years to hold a jobs at willard car shop now.

Could CSX really force electricians to clean cabs?

(1) That's an expensive way to clean cabs

(2) way outside the craft boundary

This is yet another reason why railroad workers need ONE BIG UNION.

And how many of these were non contract employees??
The answer is zero.
Same thing in the M&W side at Willard. Contract employees jobs eliminated. Managers moved to some other position.

Hi Guys
Oh yeah ,the manager did not even give the labors a proper furlough notice
They just called them at home and said they were furloughed
They are supposed to give a letter of notice
Also they cannot just eliminate a full craft of any kind at one time without special notification
This guy has opened up for a law suit from the unions and individuals because they have broken the contract

This guy EH is unreal. What an ASS.....He will get his....

That will happen from time to time...they can get their 5 days pay or whatever they got cheated out of. At least one hopes.

Much the same on a feeder airline up north in Oregon, Friday was another work day. Night news announced the shut down before many got there notices,Monday night lights out.

Hope these decisions by Harrison blows up in his face regarding Willard. His philosophy is such a short term scam.

Yes.

Actually, I had the United Auto Workers or the Longshoremen in mind.

Management has become expert in playing off craft boundaries to the harm of workers. Issues of work rules, craft jurisdictions, etc should be settled inside the (big) union. By the members, not by the company. Not with management talking to the conductors about running remote control locomotives, etc.

Yes, furlough employees a week before Thanksgiving and just before their Christmas shopping begins.
I believe I hear the name Scrooge being mentioned.

And even from the business side, cutting off productive employees (meaning non-management)
a week before UPS Peak Season begins...priceless.
