CSAO Lehigh Line Detours
Author: overniteman

One of today's detoured trains was a CSX military move. Here, it ducks under the Northeast Corridor on the Port Reading Secondary in Edison, N.J.

Looks like a GSAB out of Fort Drum, N.Y.

About a half hour later, TILX empties headed West by CP Donald
This is the regular routing (Port Reading Secondary to Bound Brook), so no detour here.

The Illinois Central unit was sitting behind the Holiday Inn in Cartaret this afternoon. Facing north, on an oil trAin.

CSX was drilling the Motiva plant with two Union Pacific units.

Pls inform, was not the military train going east on the Pt Reading Sec then north up the Chemical Coast? If so, going to Ft Drum rather than away from. Looks like an engineering corps move

The curvature indicates that the military move was Eastbound toward Port reading.
