Eastern Railroad Discussion > Louisville & Indiana Veterans Unit

Hi all, I saw the L&I veterans unit is sitting in the NS Decatur, IL diesel shops today. Does anyone know when it is scheduled to continue its journey East to its home? I'd love to catch it going out of town.

Hey, Caleb. The Louisville and Indiana # 3002 came into Decatur around 8:30P.M. last night behind NS 2767 & NS 9934. It shouldn't even of been at Decatur in the first place. My friend told me she seen it sitting on the fuel pad with NS 9347. My guess is it may head back to Saint Louis to the A&S on NS 31N which lately has been leaving in the early morning hours or sometimes evening time out of Decatur. That train goes to A&S and then NS 319 is a direct train from Saint Louis to Louisville to be handed off to the PAL then LIRC. I hope this helps. The only other thing I can think of is NS 123 which goes East and then cuts down towards Cinncy. Hope this helps!
