Eastern Railroad Discussion > Hershey, PA Jan 19-21stDate: 02/11/18 09:03 Hershey, PA Jan 19-21st Author: OCtrainguy Playing catch-up with photos and videos from a trip to Hershey, PA my son and I took. We were out in Hershey for the Hershey Bears' Outdoor Classic game. So it was overall a great weekend with the hockey at night and railfanning during the day. Here are photos of some of the trains we saw. As mentioned in earlier posts (the 60N with the N&W heritage engine and the Enola Yard overlook), these are from my camera phone due to my Canon camera having a shutter malfunction. Onto the photos. We start with Friday, January 19th.
1. NS 16T with 2624 leading 2. The second engine on the 16T was SD70ACU 7256 3. The third engine on the 16T was CitiRail ES44 1505 More to follow. Edited 1 time(s). Date: 02/11/18 09:08 Re: Hershey, PA Jan 19-21st Author: OCtrainguy After catching a few more trains in Hersey, we went to the local camera store to have them look at my camera. We then moved to Hummelstown to have lunch and we caught the 19G there.
4. The 19G had another SD70ACU trailing a Dash 9 and then it was bringing NS 5282 out for inspection or service 5. There were a few of these R&N covered hoppers on the 19G The line then got quiet, so we swung by Rutherford Yard. 6. Some of the engines near the yard office. The Dash 9 on the left is coupled to a high hood GP38-2. More to follow. Date: 02/11/18 09:13 Re: Hershey, PA Jan 19-21st Author: OCtrainguy Continuing the photos..
7. A GP59E and RP-E4C set We then headed back to Hersey to catch the H60 leaving Hershey. Not sure if this crew came of out Harrisburg Yard or Enola Yard. We saw the train heading east while we were heading to Hummelstown. If I recall correctly, they were working at Reece's. 8. SD40-2 3415 running solo and long hood forward 9. Going away photo of the 3415 That concluded Friday's photos. Saturday's will follow. Date: 02/11/18 09:19 Re: Hershey, PA Jan 19-21st Author: OCtrainguy Saturday, we spent most of the day at Cove and in Enola. Thanks to a post I saw on the NS Harrisburg East Facebook group, the 15T had the CitiRail ES44 on it, so we headed over to Hershey to catch it and finish our day there.
