Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS symbol help 915-10Date: 02/11/18 18:53 NS symbol help 915-10 Author: mully Saw a westbound today in Raleigh with a KCS leader heading for Linwood. Symbol was 915. The unusual part was it was a rail train but not welded rail but section rail on Long flats.
Anyone know where they might have taken rail up at? It was probably moving to Atlanta where they weld the stick rail into longer sections for laying on the NS system. Sometimes the stick rail moves all the way to Atlanta as a unit train. Other times the rail moves in smaller blocks on 119 south of Linwood.
