1) Q317-13 arriving at Keyser, WV. A small train by current standards with only 180 axles, they would set out 15 cars for the WVC Junction yard. In a change from normal operations were a Q317 would reduce tonnage, this day they would pick up 29 cars to take west to Grafton.

2) B770-13 in the east yard picking up the inbound traffic from the day before as the Q317-13 comes to a stop on track #1. Track Inspector passing along side on track #2.

3) Returning to the Junction.... B770-13 on the Interchange Track meets the Q316-11 at Piedmont, WV. The Q train will crossover to track #2 and stop at Keyser to pick up the cars that B772 and B770 have left there.

1) Q316-11 eastbound at Keymont, WV

2) Fullhouse.. or Everybody needs in the east yard at the same time. The bad order Slug-Set sits with the outbound traffic on the Freight Track as the Q316-11 (center) sits on track #2 and Q317-13 sits on track #1. Both Q trains needed to work the east yard to make their pickups.

3) With a short train, Q316 pulled east of the plant and accessed their pick up thru the east end switch. Pictured here, Q316 switches out a long flat to reposition it in their train.

1) N768-13 descending 17-Mile Grade at Bloomington, MD

2) Q317-14 westbound at Bull Neck Curve.... Not the shot I was hoping for but it works.

3) What I was hoping for, was to get the B770 working the Industrial Park with the Q317 passing them. Instead the B770 finished up quickly and was departing "The Park" as Q317 passed by.

It's yard trackage. Looks like it needs some attention from a Surfacing Crew but in the past couple of years they have put a bunch of ties under it.

Thanks for posting these. Seems like a busy line. Primarily local traffic or are there overhead trains from other areas?

Wow! Lots of good photos there, Thanks for taking the time to post with informative captions. I'm a little confused by the B772 going across the Potomac, 10th and 11th image). Isn't that the ex-Western Maryland track to Mount Storm under the bridge on the nearside, making this train eastbound?

Not as busy as some lines. There are days that only the Locals and the two thru Freights are the only action. This past week there were 3 Loaded drags for the Mt. Storm Power Station but all 3 of them moved at night.

I believe that to be an eastbound train entering West Virginia. HAve shot many photos from that bridge, with the old WM Thomas Sub underneath.
