Coal Traffic on Ex-C&O
Author: SOUCF25

Which of the ex-C&O coal lines has the most traffic? I'm guessing the Big Sandy line. Are there any other active ones besides the Logan, Coal River and Big Sandy branches?

Right now Big Sandy is all but moribund....coal is moving but it trickles out. The 64 corridor and various of it's spurs are pumping it out as fast as we can get empties in to them. It might be the Big Sandy area would have some to offer but for the trouble getting crews and empties into the right places. They have cut far too much manpower and equipment and they WILL NOT put either back in service...just work what of us are left until we are in our graves or the scrap pile.
