Friday - 02 March 2018

1) Q317-02 making their "tonnage Reduction" set-off in the east yard at Keyser, WV

2) Tagging along .... U051-22crew on the rear of their train on the Interchange Track at Piedmont, WV. Helper B875-02 is leading the train into Keyser, WV

3) E795-01 (Empties for Mettiki Mines) holds just east of Keyser while Q317 finishes working in town and for the U051/B875 to come off the Thomas Subdivison before they can continue west to the mines.

Saturday - 03 March 2018

1) B772-03 power (left) sit in the east yard at Keyser, WV waiting for their crew to come on duty as the Q316-01 departs Keyser after picking up 45 cars.

2) Q316-01 eastbound passing the former Faulk Bros Scrap Yard at Bull Neck Curve outside of Keyser.

3) B772-03 westbound at Piedmont, WV. The pair of SD70s were added to Q316-01 at Grafton and are being returned along with power from an earlier N999 Coal Drag.

Sunday - 04 March 2018

1) Q317-04 westbound on the "Single Main" passing under the Washington Street Bridge at Cumberland, MD.

2) From the Rt. 956 bridge ... Q317-04 westbound at Pinto, MD. The former roadbed for the Western Maryland Railway is to the right, reduced to just a farmers dirt access road.

3) Some "virgin" freshly repainted boxcars in Q317 at Keyser, WV.

1) Lucky Dog .... With no pickup, Q316-03 passes non-stop eastbound thru Keyser, WV.

2) Q317-05 with 488 axles over the Defect Detector at 21st. Bridge Rd., MD.

SD70 Day .... Tuesday - 06 March

1) and 2) B772-06 westbound at Rat-Tail, WV. Rat-Tail is just east of Piedmont, WV and was once home of a small Foundry Business.

3) B772-06 westbound on 17-Mile Grade at Bloomington, MD.

1) Slowing to allow the Conductor to dismount, Q317-06 starts to pull forward so as to clear the crossings in Keyser WV.

696 axles over the DD at 21st. Bridge Rd., Q317-06 will have 56 car combined set-outs at Keyser.

2) Q317-06 pulling forward to make the cut... The headend near the road crossing in Keymont, WV.

3) Can't help it but a crossing is going to get blocked...... 18 cars west of the crossing at Keymont, the rear of Q317 is at the EAS at Keyser waiting for the signal into the east yard.

1) Engineer on B770-07 checking the weather conditions as they arrive at the Keyser, WV Industrial Park.

2) CSX #6397 assigned to B770-07 works the Keyser, WV Industrial Park.

3) Q317-07 westbound crossing New Creek as they arrive at Keyser, WV.

2) Q316-06 shoving their pickup thru the plant at Keyser, WV.

3) Last light of the evening, E780-08 passes a set of power at the east end of the west yard at Keyser, WV

Friday - 09 March 2018

1) Long Hood Forward ... The newly assigned motor for the WVC Junction is westbound on track #2 at 21st. Bridge Rd., MD.

Thursday night the B771 crew took the #6397 to Cumberland at the end of their shift for Fuel and Sand. Daylight crew (B770-09) taxied to Cumberland for another motor before they could start their day at the junction.

2) Lone Geep passing thru a near empty Keyser, WV yard... B770-09 heading west returning to the WVC Junction with a freshly assigned motor for Cumberland.

3) Q316-07 eastbound at Bull Neck Curve passing the now closed Faulk Bros. Scrap Yard.
