This is really a no brainer.....to get trucks off the road....but then the real estate is not there to support it. In the last year of the New Haven many cars where floated across the East River but I bet most of those were for New England....

There were plenty of cars floated from Greenville to the Long Island.
The backup was usually incredible at Greenville.
Expensive operation. Lots of traffic but do not know if anyone was making money. Above my pay grade at the time.
