And this is? (on NS)
Author: RAILOH

Passing through Cleveland,OH currently, 6P Weds, on the former NKP, Eastbound. A solo NS unit (955?) leading these yellow buckets only with this blue guy on the tail.

Georgetown Ballast Train. Conveyor type belt on yellow cars, blue end control cab. Actually quite common. Ben

Thank you.

Not as common to see as you'd think being a lad that works a 9 to 5, and on a line that sees little traffic. But appreciate the info, looked it up on google.

Nice catch, is it a ballast cleaner or does it lay new ballast?

I saw similar cars in Va about a month ago. Never had seen them before. I wish someone would model them

Each time I have seen one, it is new ballast. Quite a few sets of these around, granted ya don't always see them. Ben

Ballast cleaner, was on the rear of 310. Supposedly on its way to Amtrak.
