Eastern Railroad Discussion > If this old Shanty could talkDate: 04/22/18 21:07 If this old Shanty could talk Author: srman Imagine the stories that it could tell. Spent the afternoon in southeast Kentucky Saturday on the NS CNO&TP. At Stearns this old shanty has stood for many years observing many passing trains. After a short wait southbound NS 117 passes by with a battered UP unit leading it. Then about thirty minutes later when I wasn't totally prepared NS 275 rolls past with CREX 1508. I gave chase fortunately catching him just a fre miles south at Strunk Ky.
