CSX is storing 6 AC6000CW on ACWR’s Tracks

Why not store them in Hamlet , makes no sense , maybe ACWR is Leasing them .

They are no longer owned by CSXT. Progress is the new owner of most (all?) that have been disposed of by CSX. ACWR is likely being paid to store them until a decision on their fate is made.

Some big power for a short line if they are leasing them. Kind of like IPH using SD90s on 10 mph jointed rail lol

First of all, CSX is not storing them as they no longer own them. They are owned by Progress Rail as are all the rest of the AC6000CW’s except #600-602 and #677 which was wrecked and scrapped a couple years ago.

This group is seeing sent to the ACWR for storage by Progress Rail until they do something with them. They are not leased to ACWR.

Since railroads have been leasing locos, I wouldn't be surprised if a railroad leases the AC6000CWs

Those locos still have life in them.
