Eastern Railroad Discussion > Tourist line in eastern MarylandDate: 04/25/18 06:11 Tourist line in eastern Maryland Author: 2839Canadian A while back I read that a shortline in eastern Maryland was planning to get a passenger train up and running. Did this train ever get started? If so, is it still running.
Thanks in advance Date: 04/25/18 07:13 Re: Tourist line in eastern Maryland Author: ClubCar seaboardc30-7 Wrote:

Date: 04/25/18 08:19 Re: Tourist line in eastern Maryland Author: cota1992 I found this online from March 29th.
https://mdcoastdispatch.com/2018/03/29/excursion-train-possibility-not-dead-yet-snow-hill-mayor-says/ "While the county is no longer pursuing bringing a tourist train to the area, officials in both Berlin and Snow Hill continue to look for the right opportunity. Dorman told the Worcester County Commissioners this month there was still interest in the concept. In 2014, a two-phase study funded by the county with contributions from Berlin and Snow Hill reported that such a venture could have a $17 million impact on the local economy." I live in the other Berlin Maryland, since renamed Brunswick, on the other side of the state, so I don't personally know anything more than what's in the story.
