NS 5311 GP38-2, third unit out on today's 38G. Remote control interface? Looks like an electrical box.

The original cab signal equipment has been replaced with new Ultra Cab II cab signaling equipment housed in that box.

It may be better looking than the big brow look BNSF is giving its older units to accomodate PTC systems.
