IC #1035 passes its mini-me...

IC SD70 #1035 leading a NB past the old IC depot in Carbondale, IL passes the GP11 on display, #8701 yesterday.

Yes, good catch, especially with the old IC floodlights just right center in the image that used to light up the Carbondale passenger tracks when they were still in place. Great share.

I should mention, I made this shot with only 30 seconds to spare. Was crossing the tracks on Main Street and saw the lights (and the Deathstar nose logo plain as day) as the train was just preparing to cross Walnut Street, was in the far left traffic lane (Main St, aka Illinois Highway 13 West is 3 lanes thru town) and made an immediate left turn into the parking lot of the Carbondale depot. Was in such a rush I wasn't able to get into a parking slot. Got the camera out of its case in record time and set up the shot, all in a course of 5 seconds. And here's the result.... it just came to mind.

Also I just noticed... part of the metal roof trim of the depot in a twisted fashion just over the #8701.

A passing thru thunderstorm with some good wind a few nights before did that.
