The NS 1071 in the CNJ paint is leading 22W and went through Pittsburgh about 30 minuts ago. Probably just arriving at Pitcarin, assuming there is work there today.

That was a very quick turn-around. Did NS pull the unit off the westbound train?

Unknown, as I don't know what it's assignment was previously, but the units flipping back and forth in the intermodal train loop tend to do so fairly quickly.

Not all that unusual. When I worked 21M regular a couple years back, we had a 2 on/1 day off rotation. If the power was held captive, it would be common to get the same set of power for several consecutive westbound trips.

It seems that late afternoon / early evening arrivals into Croxton are a good bet to go west early the next morning.
