Some new stuff
Author: mp109

On Saturday I spent some time with my son and grandson on the old "Middle division" in Perry county (PA.)
1. Caught the CNJ heritage unit on train 21T by surprise.
2. close up
3. Most of the trains were rather ordinary, headed by Dash 9's as is this one. (see previous post in the thread on
the ethanol train for an example) However this one is a little bit more interesting as this engine no.9978 is the
highest numbered Dash 9-44CW on the NS.

4. Here we have Amtrak no. 43 as it turned on the approach lighted 124 signal. (extreme telephoto shot with distortion produced
by heat.) The signal is an intermediate so is likely to be gone when PTC goes into effect. Above the passenger cars can be seen
glimpse of a radio tower for the PTC.
5. Here's a better picture of no. 43.
6. As a bonus here we see no. 43 arriving into the Harrisburg station on  Sunday with the crew waiting and a protect engine to the
    side.
