A sojourn in Madison Ohio along the south shore of Lake Erie along the old Nickel Plate (NS) and New York Central (CSX) yielded empty auto racks returning from New England on NS Train 287 which was pulling out of the siding due to a meet and a train of loaded crude (1267) headed east on CSX with UP 6498 (AC44CW) leading.

A friendly wave was given by the NS conductor making for a pleasant afternoon in rural eastern Ohio.
