CSX Q277 - Interesting Power
Author: cinder

CSX Q277 is primarily an empty autorack which often has a short cut of manifest cars at the head end.  It runs from Baltimore, MD to Louisville, KY.  This morning it had CP and NS power on the head end.  Here it is westbound at Mance around 8:30 am.

Interesting power...almost makes up for the fall color (or lack thereof).
Is Q277 normally routed via Sand Patch?

Yes.  Q276 & 277 regularly run over Sand Patch.

While I won't swear to it...I believe we have too many engines stored and that has placed in a shortage position....therfore any motor that comes on property and is not demanded back, will get used as long as possible. Pay back horsepower hours?....send the owner a check....
