Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS Autoracks QuestionDate: 12/07/18 12:33 NS Autoracks Question Author: PRR_4859 Does NS still run a unit train of Autoracks from Doremus, NJ to Fairlane, OH or Detroit, MI? If so, what is the symbol? I saw a westbound auto rack train crossing Rockville Bridge last winter in mid afternoon that went straight through Harrisburg, PA that I thought was 11J. However, today 11J went into Enola.
Thank you in advance. Date: 12/07/18 12:51 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: florida581 11J is now Doremus, NJ - Enola, PA. 27N is Enola, PA - Detroit, MI Sterling.
Andrew Date: 12/07/18 12:53 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: PRR_4859 Thank you. When did that change?
Date: 12/07/18 12:55 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: onblock Perhaps it is now combined with the 27N out of Enola, making the operation a mirror image of eastbound 18N. Last Friday night, the 27N departed Enola with 121 empties, over 11,000 tons, with only dc2ac engine 4019 for power. Can anyone confirm that the 11J now terminates at Enola on a daily basis and does the 27N now operate daily west of Enola?
edit: thank you florida581. Is 27N daily now? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/07/18 12:58 by onblock. Date: 12/07/18 12:56 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: florida581 PRR_4859 Wrote:

Andrew Date: 12/07/18 13:15 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: Walla183 What other train is 11J combined with at Enola to form the 27N? Traffic from Delaware (37A?)
Date: 12/08/18 07:44 Re: NS Autoracks Question Author: bath_wildcat 27N is a regular train here on the Chicago Line, as is 288 iirc. Seen both many times. Both autoracks.
