Intel from friends to the west reported a CN SD75 leading Q316-07 heading our way.... after mistaking a coal drag for the freight our second attempt we bagged the foreign power..

1) Q316-07 eastbound crossing the Potomac River between Blomington, MD and Beryl, WV ....

2) First seeing a set of well cars in a Q316. The back story was they were sent to a shop in Parkersburg, WV for repairs and were being returned to Cumberland, MD on Q316....

3) After making their pickup in Keyser, WV. Q316-07 is eastbound at 21st. Bridge Rd., MD.

Interesting that the stack car would go there for repairs. I wonder... does that have anything to do with layoffs at the car shop in Cumberland?

Surprising they let that CN unit over the Mountain sub. Normally they want a CSX unit leading.

It looks like a privately owned car. I would guess the owner wanted it repaired at the shop it went to for whatever reason.

Oh, good point, I didn't notice that. Usually when I see those cars in red/pink I think they are the CSXT/ex- Sealand ones.
