A good friend of mine sent me links to a couple of video's that were produced many years ago by the Southern Railroad Company. Interesting to watch especially given the current state of railroading today and the technology advancements made in the industry thus far.

The Saluda Grade video is great and explained very well.  But seeing them in live action does no justice as the video.  Miss the old days of railfanning the Saluda Grade.
