The clearances on the old Reading are tight though and it makes you work for "keepers". Over at Macungie, Pa. it can get real tight. However, there's a nice railfan park that's well maintained and the flowers are beautiful. Norfolk Southern GE ET44AC 3610 leads an Eastbound Herzog ballast train that's creeping along and leaving a nice trail of dust. May, 2017. The names of these Pennsylvania towns are great and if you're talking to another railfan and mispronounce one.....OH BOY.
Anyway, back to the action. As the evening starts to appear and everthing softens up, we hear a train on the scanner. Soon, an empty NS oil makes it's way to us, but it's limping. Bad. NS EMD SD60M 6793 is laying down a sweet trail of smoke. What tier is it from? Alburtis, Pennsylvania. June, 2014.
