CSX South Florida service
Author: twropr

A snowbirding friend asked if CSX had changed the schedule of the local to St. Petersburg from ?Yeoman Yard, Tampa.  It used to operate during the day and fans he has talked to said it is now operating at night?
Also when does CSX interchange with Seminole Gulf at Arcadia?  Does this job come out of Yeoman?
Thanks!
Andy

O701 runs to St. Petersburg on Monday.  It usually departs Tampa’s Yeoman Yard in the mid to late afternoon and arrives in St Pete after dark.  After working St. Pete, it returns back to Yeoman, usually arriving before dawn.  O701 runs only as far as Largo on Wednesday and Friday and at about the same time.  O701 runs to Brooksville on Tuesday and Thursday.

O725 is based out of Lakeland’s Winston Yard.  It runs south to the SGLR interchange at Arcadia on Tuesday and Thursday, during daylight hours.  O725 meets and swaps trains with SGLR and then ties up for the night.  The train returns north to Winston on Wednesday and Friday respectively, again in daylight hours.

Can we infer that SGLR also runs north during daylight? Do they also tie up and go south the next day?

SGLR usually departs Ft Myers in the afternoons (Tuesday and Thursday) and arrives in Arcadia in the evenings.  They try to coordinate with CSX as much as possible so that the SGLR crews can return back to Ft Myers that same evening.
