SD70ACU day at m.p. 109
Author: mp109

Ha d to go to the hospital for a shot today and it was a nice day, so spent a little time at my usual weekday trainwatching spot.
The interesting thing today was an unusual number of SD70ACU engines all witn the last digit of their numbers being 5!
1.  Of course,  at first we have to see Amtrak no. 42.
2.  No. 42 on track 2 passing an NS highrailer. (Not hot enough for a "heat patrol" yet!)
3.  The first SD70ACU sighting; last engine on an eastbound light engine move in the yard.

4.  NS intermodal 21M is led by an SD70ACU.
5.  And Amtrak no. 43
6.  Intermodal 26T crawls into the yard with an SD70ACU leading.

OK, these must be the ex-UP SD-9043AC units, rebuilt to SD-70ACe standards??
