Eastern Railroad Discussion > Jackpot in Decatur IllinoisDate: 04/07/19 19:57 Jackpot in Decatur Illinois Author: Railfan2 1. x-IC Geep still in black paint
2. Westbound roadrailer 3. Auto parts train with rare CN power, even a cowl unit! Date: 04/08/19 07:11 Re: Jackpot in Decatur Illinois Author: inCHI Jackpot indeed. I didn't realize the roadrailers were still running. And the autoparts boxes and frames on that CN freight are a somewhat rare find as well. Not many places any more that you can see either of those trains go by.

Only one service lane remains active if I recall. That would be Detroit to KC. The line splits in Decatur to run south to St Louis and it also runs west all the way to KC. The next crew change point west is Moberly MO, Decatur sees a pair of Triple Crown trains a day I believe, One east bound and one westbound Date: 04/08/19 11:27 Re: Jackpot in Decatur Illinois Author: Off-pending inCHI Wrote:

This is a strictly Ford auto parts train. Runs daily with lots of high cube boxes. I expected to see three or four trains staring at each other with nowhere to go, lol!
