Eastern Railroad Discussion > CN's "unintended" heritage unitsDate: 05/05/19 20:00 CN's "unintended" heritage units Author: calumet It's been more than 15 years since CN merged the IC but they still haven't gotten around to repainting many of the IC locomotives. Pictured here are two of IC's SD70 units looking very much like they did when they roamed the rails for IC. The gold sill stripe is new.but everything else is pretty much the same.
Photographed at Homewood, IL, 5/4/2019. Date: 05/05/19 20:15 Re: CN's "unintended" heritage units Author: inCHI Sets of them have been amazingly consistent around Chicago, seems like more than one set too.

I got a glimpse of it on Saturday, but couldn't get a photograph, it came in the west end of the CN Yard in Battle Creek, but there was a guy leaving that was between me and it. But, Sunday, May 5, 2019, I was able to catch it leaving west, on the Battle Creek, Michigan, to South Bend, Indiana, Local Assignment.
