Before They're Gone - Photographing Signals on the NS West Slope
Author: birdman

Position Light and other style older signals are scheduled to be replaced on the NS West Slope by the end of the month.  Two of us did what we could to capture some of them yesterday for posterity.

Three photos at Summerhill, PA

Excellent work. I saw on FB the ones at "MG" have been replaced this past weekend.
Glad I went out there in 2016 when I did.

I'm scheduled to pass through that way on the 24th so hopefully I can get the 2656 auto, which I missed on my last sweep through the area as well as some supplimentary photos of the signal bridge at Lilly.

I would think UN & AR would be this weekend, maybe MO (cresson) next weekend, doing the whole west slope to southfork would be a major project? Anybody know what is scheduled for this weekend?

Heads up re. Lilly - the town maintenance yard next fo the Lilly signal bridge is full of all kinds of material.  Some of it is stacked up quite high.  The result is that camera angles are adversely impacted.  It is possible to obtain photographs but photo angles are now limited.
