NS (NKP) 8100 before the number style change in 2012
Author: WLE2679

Fresh out of the Juniata paint shop parked at Rose Yard in Altoona April 2012.  Can't believe the heritage units are seven years old.   Paint has held up well on the NS shop painted units.

This was the first one I saw, probably a day or two after these photos leading a westbound empty coal train at Cresson. There’s no way that was 7 years ago, oh wait I’m getting old!!!

The first one I saw was the PRR when it got assigned to a NS Lurgan work train.  I remember because I took dad with me to go see it.

Yes, the locomotives look great.

I wonder if the Heritage Units get a little more TLC than the average NS unit?  Maybe a wash job now and then...
