Loaded Unit Trains on the CNO&TP
Author: RiverLineProductions

Today I took my first trip to the CNO&TP in Kentucky, and it was truly an amazing experience! The action never died and the day produced 22 trains. The following images are my favorites from Kings Mountain, KY. This shot is the one I came here for... and the location was as awesome as I had been told it was... Between loaded unit trains climbing the grade to the rock cut just north of the overpass, this is what the "Rathole" is truly about!

1. NS Loaded Grain Train 46R with 5 units in full throttle was the first eastbound I shot tackling the grade here in Kings Mountain

2. A few hours later, and after a multitude of northbounders, NS Ethanol train 64Q with EMD leaders in Run 8 crests the hillĀ

3. Late in the day, NS Coal Drag 712 with two up front and two more shoving on the rear heads through the cut
