Eastern Railroad Discussion > What do you think this is?Date: 07/03/19 07:41 What do you think this is? Author: BobE An unlabelled slide of an unlettered (and still in primer) loco and cars.
My guess is Reading Blue Mountain & Northern at Jim Thorpe, PA. Yours? TIA, BobE Date: 07/03/19 08:06 Re: What do you think this is? Author: toledopatch I think it's BM&R (or a predecessor) but I'm not sure about Jim Thorpe. If the bridge that crosses the Lehigh River there was in a different spot at the time than the current bridge is, it could still be Jim Thorpe.

The coaches look like those used out of Jim Thorpe when a Mr. Hart had a tourist operation there in the 80’s. The CF7 could have been a Panther Creek railroad unit. Panther Creek used to be the operator of the CNJ line out to Hometown if I recall.
The Bronco in the background is definitely late 80’s vintage. Posted from iPhone Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/03/19 08:53 by dschlegel. Date: 07/03/19 08:16 Re: What do you think this is? Author: mcdeo I know the locomotive is an Ex SF CF7, I'd think the same number. Not sure this site helps much with its' history: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=56621
Mike ONeill Parker, CO Date: 07/03/19 08:27 Re: What do you think this is? Author: TamaquaTim I say it's the BM&R current Headquartes at Port Clinton, Pa., a great picture.
Tim McRea Date: 07/03/19 08:54 Re: What do you think this is? Author: JUTower That is definitely Jim Thorpe, but closer to the roundhouse and north/west from the CNJ station complex.
That would have been one of the CF7's acquired by Andy Muller in the late 1980s, perhaps one was on the PVRR for some time. I'd guess this to be perhaps 1987 or so. -Alex Date: 07/03/19 09:44 Re: What do you think this is? Author: cjvrr Perhaps later to become BM&R 601?
http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/bmr601.jpg I would agree this looks like Jim Thorpe at the far (west?) end of the yard from the station Date: 07/03/19 11:33 Re: What do you think this is? Author: jgilmore And here I thought it was Lubbock!
