Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 310 with First Responders unit

Sort of a follow up to Cornerfieldhobbys post from last night. NS train 310 came east from Buffalo NY this morning with the First Responders unit, 911 trailing. In Toms post last night from Ohio the power was all up front, today two of the units were now in the DPU position. Going through Attica NY the head end lost communication with the rear resulting in the train stalling as it started through Attica and its hill. This was a big, heavy train with lots covered hoppers filled with sand. Granted the train was not flying past this location but it did take four minutes and forty seconds to pass. This video was taken about 10 miles east of Attica at Dale NY.

Nothing like the sound design of an EMD in run-8. Also I though all the SD70-2's was in storage.

It appears the SD70M-2 are being used as part of the surge fleet for NS, and different units are going in and out storage.
