"The Utica Job" NYS&W
Author: ut-1

This video features New York, Susquehanna & Western's UT-1 on its July 3rd Utica-Sangerfield, NY run.

NYS&W GP40 No. 3040 is first seen leading its train onto Utica's Schuyler St followed by a brief "pacing" sequence. Notice the ancient DL&W watchman's tower in the background.

We next watch the short freight cross over the Sauquoit Creek in New Hartford on a bridge built by American Bridge just before WW1.

Next, UT-1 claws its way up Paris Hill's 1.8% grade at Richfield Junction.

The following segment has No. 3040 at a farm crossing in Marshall.

The video concludes with UT-1 entering Waterville, about 2 rail miles north of Sangerfield.

Superb video. Your location choices and shot angles really convey the "flavor" of the Utica Branch.
