Can anyone advise if Hyundai has a CY agreement with BNSF/CSX at Fairburn under which empties are returned and released from that ramp?

Also, is the gate manned or automated (with BNSF J1 photos available)?

BNSF is an abbreviation for Burlington Northern Santa Fe, and CSX stands for railroad resulting from the merger of the Chessie system and Seaboard (C for Chessie, S for Seaboard, and X representing the merger).

We know that.But what is CY and where is Fairburn?

Fairburn is CSX's primary intermodal terminal serving the Atlanta market. It is also the CSX terminal to and from which BNSF operates intermodal trains between the west coast and Atlanta under commercial terms where the shippers are dealing exclusively with BNSF. (Parenthetically, the arrangement between BNSF and CSX at Fairburn/Atlanta served as the model for the more recent BNSF intermodal services to/from CSX's North Baltimore terminal in northwest Ohio.)

CY is standard intermodal lingo for container yard, especially for international boxes. When a steamship line has a CY agreement with a railroad, they are able to use the railroad's intermodal storage yard areas to store their own empty containers (and chassis, back in the day when the SS lines had chassis).
