South Fork, PA.........coal

Where are the coal load outs south of South Fork down towards Central City?  How many trains a week do they produce?  Glad to see the MAC's alive and well on this line.

Sorry about the truncated video.  The camera "went into emergency" .....but "nothing was found" and filming proceeded.

Rosebud, just outside of Windber, Pa. If you hear a "C" local symbol get the railroad from JK to Paint they should be going to Windber. I`m pretty sure the only other loadout is at Central City. I also think that block limit is "Cairn". We saw them bust the empties in half and load side by side at Central City.

There was a proposal and funding in 2018 to construct a coal cleaning plant in the Central City area.  Rail accessible with the benefit of removing hundreds of trucks.  Metallurgical / steel coal.

Did that ever come to fruition?
