A local freight in Fostoria. Ohio at the break of day.

After retirement, I began to chase trains like I
did before I had many whiskers. I used to travel
down to Fostoria, Ohio to spend a night or two
and take numerous pictures of trains. Here's an
example of that morning glow.

That's not a local, that's a coal train heading to Chicago. The local crew working at the time of this photo had just delivered loaded autoracks to Pemberville siding using a 4 axle engine. I know this because I heard them talking to the dispatcher right before I spoke to the dispatcher.

Well d@mned if you are not right on that.
I took a close look at the sequence of
shots, and sure enough, I see three cars
in this photo, and five in the next one.

Indeed he is probably coming off the
line to Columbus and headed back west
with the empties.

Wow somebody visited Fostoria at sunrise!  I didn't think a photographer east of the Mississippi knew there was a sunrise and that it's ok to make pictures the first time 6 comes arond on the clock dial!  Excellent, excellent picture!  Let's see more!!!!
