No. It's basically a branch with some stone trains, a job to run interchange to/from the Winchester & Western, and not much else that I'm aware of.

I'd forgotten about those and don't know if they still run.

They run about one grain train per week now.  An empty V089 left Brunswick, MD, this morning with BNSF power.  Gerry

Edit: I should note that BNSF power lays over in Brunswick and does not go onto the Shenandoah Subdivision.  It is used as helpers on e/b coal trains  Gerry

TP.....you're a "day late and a dollar short." Winchester, VA is a heavy economic growth area and rail traffic is booming.  The "branch" serves four stone quarries, two large grain processors, and other newly built industrial facilities. The daily freight between Winchester and Brunswick is sizable and is supplemented by two daily stone trains (Millville) and additional unit stone extras and unit grain extras from the midwest.  W&W traffic is a minor part of the mix.. At least five regular, and frequent extra crews are kept busy.

Does anybody have current CSX train numbers?

If you want W&W pictures, better get them soon,  OnmiTrax bought the W&W from the sandmine company

I've recently spent several afternoons at the Harpers Ferry WV Amtrak station and have seen 4-5 trains coming off/going onto that line in about three hours..

Great to hear that traffic has picked up on this branch.
