Amazon Prime Trailers - TOFC

I see Amazon Prime trailers on intermodal pictures. Does Amazon use rail pretty heavily? Is it used mainly for moving product between warehouses?

Yes. Between DC to DC (distribution
center).

here is an e/b bnsf z train out west on the seligman sub at e/valentine, az with some prime trailers on it.............

Just a heads up here, the trailers that say Prime Intermodal with the black logo are NOT Amazon Prime.  Prime is a large trucking company based out of Springfield, MO.  I do not believe there is any relationship.

Here in New Jersey, Norfolk Southern's hot 21M (Croxton-Chicago) started out with just a few Amazon trailers once in a while to now having whole big blocks of them.
Guess Amazon likes the service.

The blue Amazon Prime trailers are used heavily for moving imports from west coast ports direct to their warehouses. These trailers also are used to move their freight between their distribution centers.

Not sure what Prime inc wants from Amazon other than settlement. Their Internet reputation is already 0. ̅01.
