Eastern Road Trip Part 2 - WNY&P
Author: dwatry

On a foggy Friday Sept 6, I started out at 7am outside the WNY&P engine terminal in Olean, ready to chase whatever they were running that day.  Thanks to the large group of knowledgeable railfans assembled, we correctly sussed-out that they would be running a pair of ex-Cartier M-636s on an Emporium sand train.  So taking everyone's advice  - I headed to Eldred PA for the first shot at a former PRR signal bridge.  BTW - this is the former PRR Harrisburg-Buffalo mainline, which hosted the Buffalo Day Express until the start of Amtrak.

1)  Sand train hitting about 50mph SB through North Eldred PA.
2)  In Eldred - coming out of the fog, hitting about 10mph due to a slow order.
3)  South of Eldred running through the goldenrod.

11)  Same.
12)  At Gardeau.

Nice shots. We stood side by side for some of them.  You joined us at the bridge abutment shot.  Still have to figure who or what  those were for.
