Eastern Railroad Discussion > NY&LE Wine Tasting Train

After many years very little activity, the New York and Lake Erie has and will be running quite a few passenger trains this year.  On Saturday they ran a Willow Creek Wine Tasting Train with their two FPAs and standard three car train.  The NY&LE isn't the easiest to photgraph because the right of way is overgrown or inaccessable for much of the way between Gowanda, NY and the turnaround location of South Dayton, NY.  After two less-then-stellar photos we lucked out and found a clearing at Dole Street in Markams, NY (photo attached).  For those interested in seeing the MLWs in action there are fall foliage and Santa trips planned for later in the year.  Future trips are listed on the railroads Facebook page.
