Clinchfield 800, Ohio Rail Experience Trips
Author: CGTower

Enroute to an Ohio Rail Experience excursion out of Leipsic, Ohio, we had the good fortune to see Clinchfield 800 lead a train up the former B&O Toledo Subdivision. The rainy overnight gave way to a clear (and cool) Autumn day here in Northwest, Ohio, allowing for some good (and fortunate timed) pictures of the train.

Photo 1: Heading up the Toledo Subdivision, and just getting some light in the day, Clinchfield 800 passes the color position light signals at South Ottawa.

Photo 2: After the train loaded in Leipsic, the train proceeded up the DT&I. Here we see the classic styling of EMD pass the distant signal for the CSX diamond at Hamler, Ohio.

Hope everyone had a good trip today!

Photo one is first-rate. That signal could not be in a better place.

A couple of great shots of the 800!  Is there an engine on the other end of the train?
