Ohio Rail Experience excursion on DT&I - photos of NKP GP-30 901

Ohio Rail Experience ran an excursion on October 12th 2019 - DT&I Special - “The North End". While many were interested in the Clinfield 800, I went for the southbound only catch with the NKP GP-30 901 leading. This particular unit used to be Indiana & Ohio 85 and once traveled these same rails hauling freight, so it was nice to see it back on familiar rails. October skies and a GP-30? A hard sight to beat!

The nose shot was second in the series taken at the Michigan and Ohio border.The more side shot with open sky is north of Riga Junction. The barn is from 1900 and sits on Rodesiler Hwy in Blissfield Michigan.
