Wanamaker, Kempton and Southern (PA)
Author: birdman

The Wanamaker, Kempton and Southern is  a 5 mile long remnant of a former Reading Railroad branch line that radiated out from Reading, PA in a northeast direction through beautiful farmland.  A presrvationist group of volunteers maintains the line and the former Reading Railroad stations and freight stations at Wanamakers and at Kempton, PA.  They occasionally run a train over the line and such was the case today.  This operation is off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

1. The station at Kempton, PA
2. An 0-4-0 that is part of the group's collection.
3. The inbound train from Wanamakers approaching the Kempton station.
