Great Northern passenger cars - what's the story behind those?

They look great  - so much so, they look like they should be back
out on the main line (or someone's shortline /tourist line).  Where'd
they come from?  Are there plans to change the livery or is the
current owner a fan of the GN?

Have not been there, btw - are those passenger cars part of a display, or part
of an active running line?  Looks like a Northern Pacific car behind the to GN's.

The cars along with lots of other rolling stock and locomotives are on display, they do not, as far as I know, able to be on a trainset.
