"Disabled Freight" on NS Charlotte District

Yesterday the 29th PIEDMONT #73 never left Raleigh and #74 never left Charlotte.  Amtrak's Twitter said that the trains were canceled due to a "Disabled NS Freight train."
Does anyone know what happened?

NS350 stalled on the hill into Cary, in front of 73.  350 had to get a push from Durham and it took awhile, so 73 returned back to Raleigh.
