NJ Transit 'PRR' Heritage Unit on the former PRR
Author: RGDave

When the PRR Heritage Unit is passing by across the street from the office, it's a quick walk over and back for a shot at an iconic PRR location:  DOCK interlocking in Newark, NJ, in this case DOCK drawbridge where the Main Line crosses from Newark to Harrison, NJ.

Here 'PRR' 4636 pushes train 3846 towards New York City on a brilliant December 3 2019.

The decided to leave the black alone since it would have been difficult to wrap it with several vents along it.

Awesome photo! Any information as to when the CNJ might be placed into service?

Per other railfans, the CNJ painted unit has entered service. Last night, it was seen on 1055 running up the Mtc-Btn Line.

Nice shot Davey - nothing like railfanning during working hours!   And finally NJT provides something decent to shoot!

If there was ever a textbook definition of putting lipstick on a pig, this would be it.

Like it!

The tracks to the left are PATH. That lets PATH access Harrison station without an at grade crossing with the NEC.
