Port Kennedy depot is starting to look like a haunted house in the National Park Services care. Shame.

Would this be the same depot I detrained at on boy scout special train in 1956 or 57 going to the jamboree?

That was well before my time, but I believe those trains stopped at the other station in Valley Forge which is right next to Washington's Headquarters.  It's a much larger station/platform about 2 miles to the west of Port Kennedy.

Unrelated, but I just noticed you can see 39G in the second pic, look just to the left of the station.  Lol, bonus.

Yes it is. Scout trains used this and the station by Washingtons headquarters to speed up the operation which handled nearly 50,000 Scouts I did an article for Classic Trains Magazine describing this amazing operation

I always love early morning and late day sun when the red color shift occurs and the sides of objects are painted brightly.

It’s a shame the station is being neglected.
