The new absolute north of the Amtrak station is called Petersburg, roughly where the old "Colonial Heights" intermediate used to stand. Which is slightly awkward naming as it's just south of the "Petersburg DD" intermediate. FA was the last of the double crossovers between Richmond and Rocky Mount to be put in. No more having to go through that godawful slow speed crossover that was there going up/down the monstrous hill there.
