Soldiering On - SD's and Signals
Author: CGTower

Despite the current state of the world, it seems the railroad is a nice constant...even more so when you find an SD40-2 passing vintage B&O color position light signals. Case in point...

Q508 heads north up the CSX Toledo Subdivision and passes the bracket post and dwarf color position light signals at Ottawa, Ohio. No April fools here as the SD40-2 and GE mate easily handle this train toward Deshler and points north.

Stay safe everyone,

Nicely done. I was going to make a spring trip out that way to visit these, but not anymore :-(

Hmmm, are they using rosin core (best for bench work) or solid solder as in waste lines?

Nice shot!  What does the dwarf control?  Entrance to the siding?

Thanks.

OMG, talk about egg on the face. I stared at that for 20 minutes and it never hit me as being solder! HA!

Thanks for the catch (sheepishly)...

Looks like the siding exit signal with the big signal controlling the main line.
