Chess Match at Keyser, WV - 25 March 2020
Author: DTWilson

Chess Match at Keyser .......... So I'll try to explain this.N999 is sitting west of the plant on track #2 at Keyser, WV with 65 loads.

1) At 21st. Bridge Rd, MD. - E789-24 (Leader #303) coming westbound on track #1 has to stop at Keyser to pick up the power from the N999 to take it back to Grafton.
- N733-23 (65 loads, leader #146) is coming eastbound on track #2 and needs to double their train with the 65 loads from N999 at Keyser.
- B772-25 (leader #3142) is returning eastbound on track #1 with cars from Grafton. They need to put their train on the freight track at Keyser before going off duty...
- E789 grabs the power off N999 and returns to their train east of the plant at Keyser.
- N733 stops at Piedmont, WV on track #2

2) B772-25 runs around the N733 at Piedmont, WV on track #1 and will cross back over to track #2 at Keyser, WV before finally shoving their train onto the freight track and getting out of everybody's way.

..... More to Follow .....

1) With B772 on the freight track, E789-24 departs Keyser westbound and passes the N733 at Piedmont.

2) Once E789 clears Piedmont, N733 can cross over to track #1 at Piedmont and head to Keyser to pick up the 65 loads off track #2

Thanks for stopping by.......

Nice report Tim.  It's either a series of Ballet moves or some form of Controlled Chaos depending on who you talk to, but it is nice to see these railroaders doing their best to get it done. Seems like everything comes together at the same time at Keyser and makes for some interesting moves. Thanks for taking us through this Chess Game.

Sounds like Tim is moonlighting as Terminal Trainmaster.
